The system allows third-party SAN (storage area network) or NAS (network attached storage) devices to be used with a wide range of industry interface standards for automation and video servers, while also providing open VACP and XML compatibility. MassNAS is an NAS system available at an attractive price/performance ratio. The system features more than 1.4 TB of RAID 5 storage on a 1-RU chassis and provides reliable operation with redundant power supplies, redundant load-share networking, hot-swappable fans, and ease of service.
MassChannel is a complete playout and sequencing solution designed for use in broadcast, cable origination and substitution, corporate, educational/instructional, in-store TV, and specialty channel markets. This hardware and software solution facilitates flawless playback of MPEG-2 content from local, networked, or DVD storage media, allowing a large number of networked channels to share common storage and archive resources. MassChannel operates in conjunction with MassNAS to provide a cost-effective NAS solution for hundreds to thousands of hours of nearline disk storage. Additional features include sequencing applications, generation of as-run logs, and remote access and update of playlists across IP networks.
